later works "miabordo.ans" was my first picture in at least two months. i'm sorry. i didn't have great ideas. i didn't want to use moebius regularly to come up with ascii art. so went on with block graphics. that begins as png file created in gimp. but which doesn't allow easily to combine colored blocks with text. "formula-june.ans" came from an image rendered with xaos. i had to screenshot the xaos program window so i could get something quite near 800x500 resolution. to be able to shrink neatly to 80x50 block ascii characters. i purposely chose three different colors not in the original image. the formula is the following: abs((0.088849875-(c*n))*(logn(re(p),3)-logn(c^2,7)))/(coth((c*n))-(c*n)) it came from a qb64 program i wrote. that creates "random" formulas. for producing interesting viewpoints for images generated by xaos. many of the so-called formulas suck. just produce a totally black circle. actually i wrote four programs. that formula came from the latest of the four. i wrote on friday june 13th. which goes crazy with parenthesis. the earlier tries brute-force inserted one set of parenthesis on an expression. but from those i generated a few thousand viewpoints.
